-MR BIG REUNION TOUR 2009 SINGAPORE-
So it's almost been a week since i when to the most power-packed concert in the whole of my life. As a bassist myself, i have been blessed to see the legendary Billy Sheehan groove on the bass with my own pairs of eyes. I still can't believe the fact that i had seen the guy that greatest influenced on my musical path live on stage and not forgetting Paul Gilbert( ranked 3rd fastest shredder on guitar world magazine) the insane shredder from Racer X.
Among me was some other 4,000 fans waiting eagerly for the band to appear on stage. And when they finally took the stage and strike the first note, everyone knew strength away that it was
" Daddy, Brother, Lover, Little Boy" also known as the drill song as the guitar solo were all played with a drill. yes, an electrical hand drill! The Most thrilling part that got me all shouting and bobbing my head like a crazy-ass-fan-girl was when they did Smoke on the water as an encore which they were all swapping instruments with billy sheehan playing the guitar solo. Never knew he could play guitar as well. The set ended with the hard rock fast paced song "shy boy" with fans shouting for more even after they got of the stage. Truly an unforgettable event for me.
